Trauma Therapy in NJ and FL
Trauma lives in the body and the memory long after the event has passed. Caitlin uses Accelerated Resolution Therapy and bilateral stimulation to help you process what happened, reduce its grip, and build the life you want on the other side of it.

WHO THIS IS FOR
Trauma therapy in NJ gives people a way to address what the body and memory have been carrying long after the original experience ended. Caitlin’s specialization in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) means the work goes deeper than traditional talk therapy, producing meaningful change in a way that many clients describe as more efficient and far less retraumatizing than approaches they have tried before.
You do not need a single dramatic event to qualify for trauma therapy. Caitlin works with childhood trauma, relational trauma, medical trauma, complex trauma, and the accumulation of smaller experiences that add up to a nervous system that never fully feels safe.
Her clinical specialization in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) gives her access to a proven, evidence-based approach that goes deeper than traditional talk therapy, producing meaningful change in a way that many clients find more efficient and less retraumatizing than other methods.
YOU MIGHT BE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF
CAITLIN’S PRIMARY TOOL
ART is an evidence-based trauma treatment that uses bilateral stimulation, the same alternating left-right movement that drives EMDR, to help the brain process and reframe traumatic memories. Sessions are typically shorter than traditional trauma therapy, and most clients notice meaningful shifts within a small number of sessions.
The key difference from talk therapy: ART works at the level of the memory itself, changing how it is stored rather than just building coping skills around it. Clients retain awareness of what happened but lose the emotional charge that makes the memory feel present and overwhelming.
ART is effective for PTSD, childhood trauma, medical trauma, grief, anxiety rooted in past experience, and complex trauma. It is also available for clients who have tried other trauma approaches and found them insufficient.
Toolkit
Bilateral stimulation-based trauma processing. Evidence-based, efficient, and accessible to clients who struggle with talk-only approaches.
A gentle bilateral stimulation method well suited for clients who find direct trauma processing difficult or overwhelming. Works with minimal distress during the session.
Handheld tactile bilateral stimulation devices used as an alternative to eye movement, offering the same neurological benefits through touch rather than visual tracking.
When direct processing is not the right starting point, Caitlin uses trauma-informed psychotherapy to build safety, trust, and readiness at the client's pace.
TYPES OF TRAUMA CAITLIN WORKS WITH
Caitlin approaches every person’s trauma as unique. The type of event, the age it occurred, how it was responded to, and how long it has been carried all shape what therapy looks like. She meets you where you are.
Adverse experiences in childhood that shaped your nervous system, your sense of self, and how you relate to others throughout your life.
Trauma rooted in relationships: abuse, neglect, betrayal, or the absence of safe attachment early in life.
Traumatic experiences within medical settings, including frightening procedures, difficult diagnoses, or times when you felt unsafe or unheard in a clinical context.
Trauma that occurred repeatedly over time rather than as a single event, producing a layered impact on identity, relationships, and regulation.
Single-event trauma including accidents, assaults, sudden loss, or other overwhelming experiences that produced a lasting stress response.
Loss that carries a traumatic dimension, including sudden death, ambiguous loss, or grief that has become stuck and is affecting daily functioning.

01
The therapeutic relationship comes first. Nothing moves forward until you feel genuinely safe. This is real work, not a box to check.
02
Caitlin gathers a thorough understanding of your history, your nervous system patterns, and how trauma has shaped your present before any processing begins.
03
Bilateral stimulation work begins at a pace you control. Sessions are designed to keep distress manageable and produce resolution, not depletion.
04
Processing a memory is the beginning. Caitlin helps you integrate what has shifted into a new relationship with yourself and the life you are building.
