“Within each of us who have a mental health condition lies a perspective of the world that is beautiful and creative. We just need the tools to live in a healthy perspective that allows us to be our greatest versions.”
Caitlin Regan, LPC
HER STORY
Caitlin Regan is a Licensed Professional Counselor (NJ), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (FL), the founder of Caitlin’s Counseling Corner, and an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University. She brings over 15 years of combined experience in teaching and counseling, a certified specialization in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and trained expertise in trauma.
She has been living with a mental health diagnosis since her teen years, and living successfully for eight years now. That personal experience is central to how she works. Every client Caitlin sees benefits from a counselor who has genuinely navigated what they are navigating.
Caitlin has been professionally published seven times, writing openly about life as a clinician with a mental health condition. Her long-term vision is a nonprofit counseling center in Monmouth County, NJ, where everyone has direct, affordable access to the care they deserve.

PHILOSOPHY & APPROACH
Caitlin works from a single, foundational belief: every person who walks through the door carries the capacity to understand their condition, manage it, and build a life they genuinely love. Her sessions are built around that conviction.
Mental health diagnoses describe a starting point. Caitlin models this belief from her own life: eight years of successful living with a diagnosis, through ECT and daily self-care.
Caitlin does not fix or save. She walks alongside each person in their journey, providing tools, a safe space, and the encouragement to grow into their healthiest version.
We may not choose our biology, but we can choose our behaviors, coping skills, and habits. Choose healthy today, and you arrive at a healthier tomorrow.
Caitlin accepts everyone she works with fully and works from a place of genuine acceptance. This is a vocation, not a career.
