WHO THIS IS FOR
ADHD therapy and neurodivergent support in NJ gives people something most approaches miss: a framework built around how your brain actually works rather than how a neurotypical standard says it should. Neurodivergent people often arrive in therapy having spent years trying to function within systems that were never designed for them. The frustration, the self-criticism, and the exhaustion of that effort are real. Caitlin’s approach starts by acknowledging that honestly before
building anything new.
She works with ADHD, executive function challenges, and the overlapping experiences that frequently accompany neurodivergence: anxiety, emotional dysregulation, sensory sensitivity, and the specific pressures that come with navigating school, work, and relationships as a neurodivergent person. The work is practical, adapted to how you actually process and learn, and built around your specific strengths alongside your specific challenges.
YOU MIGHT BE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF
A DIFFERENT STARTING POINT
Caitlin’s philosophy treats every mental health condition as something to understand and manage, not an illness that defines a person’s ceiling. That belief runs especially deep in her work with neurodivergent clients. An ADHD brain, an autistic perspective, a mind that processes differently are not broken versions of a neurotypical standard. They are different operating systems with distinct strengths and genuine challenges.
The goal of this work is helping neurodivergent clients understand how their brain works, build tools that fit that brain, and stop measuring themselves against a standard that was never built for them in the first place.
When interest and task align, neurodivergent brains can produce remarkable depth of focus and creative output. Caitlin helps clients find and build on these states.
Neurodivergent minds frequently generate connections and ideas that neurotypical processing misses. That is a genuine asset, not an accident.
Heightened emotional sensitivity, often experienced as a challenge, carries a corresponding depth of empathy and interpersonal attunement that many neurodivergent people possess.
While some aspects of neurodivergence are fixed, many of the functional challenges respond meaningfully to the right coping skills, structures, and support.
WHAT WE WORK THROUGH TOGETHER
Caitlin works with the full landscape of neurodivergent experience, from the executive function challenges that create daily friction to the identity work of understanding and accepting a neurodivergent self.
Planning, starting tasks, following through, managing time, and regulating attention. Building practical systems that work with your brain rather than against it.
Emotional responses that feel disproportionate or hard to manage. Developing regulation skills that account for the heightened emotional intensity many neurodivergent people experience.
Anxiety and neurodivergence co-occur frequently. Caitlin works with both simultaneously, understanding how each shapes and amplifies the other.
Navigating social expectations, communication differences, and the relationships that matter most to you, with support from someone who understands the neurodivergent experience.
Managing performance demands in environments designed for neurotypical processing, and building strategies that allow neurodivergent people to contribute at their genuine level.
Understanding your neurodivergent identity, processing years of masking or misunderstanding, and building a relationship with yourself that is grounded in reality rather than shame.
CAITLIN’S APPROACH
Caitlin uses CBT and DBT tools adapted specifically for neurodivergent presentations. Standard therapeutic approaches do not always translate directly for ADHD or other neurodivergent profiles, and she shapes the work to fit each client rather than asking each client to fit the work.
Sessions are collaborative, practical, and grounded in what actually helps in daily life. Caitlin pays attention to how each neurodivergent client processes information and adjusts the delivery accordingly. What works for one person will not work for another, and that flexibility is built into how she works from the start.
The goal is a client who understands their own brain, has tools that genuinely fit how that brain works, and builds a life around their actual strengths.
01
Starting with genuine curiosity about your specific neurodivergent profile rather than applying a generic ADHD or autism framework.
02
Practical executive function tools, emotional regulation skills, and daily structures designed around how your brain actually processes rather than how it “should.”
03
Anxiety, depression, and trauma frequently co-occur with neurodivergence. Caitlin works with all of it together rather than treating each in isolation.
04
Moving from confusion and self-criticism toward a clear, grounded understanding of who you are, how you work, and what you need to thrive.
